Dental lasers

Laser therapy is an advanced technique that use beam of therapeutic light energy to the target area. At MCDC, we have diode lasers with 3 different wavelengths (650 nm, 810 nm and 976 nm) for a variety of procedures:

  • Lip and tongue release (Laser Frenectomy)
  • Aesthetic gum reshaping and depigmentation
  • Laser teeth whitening
  • Non-invasive gum pocket sterilization (Laser periodontal therapy)
  • Over-growth tissue removal
  • Canker sore and cold sore reduction
  • Wound healing (Photobiomodulation – PBM)
  • Jaw and orofacial pain (Cold laser therapy)
  • Elimination of gag reflex (Laser acupuncture)

Benefits of laser therapy over conventional therapy:

  • Blood-free
  • No suture
  • No risk of bacterial contamination
  • Minimal discomfort
  • Minimum to no need of antibiotics
  • Faster wound healing
  • Less operational time
